Pep Rally Takeover is a nonprofit organization that rallies to create unique musical experiences, that help provide support for the Youth.  We visit schools throughout Chicago & Northwest Indiana and partner with musicians, public figures, and brands to create unforgettable live music experiences and educational resources. 

 Founded in 2014 by Radio Personality on Power92.3 Chicago Rodney "Hotrod" Washington and Co - Founder Quinton "Q" Jackson, Pep Rally Takeover promotes integrity, unity and community through every event. 

 In addition to this, Pep Rally Takeover’s fundraising initiatives throughout the year help to provide school supplies, clothing, educational field trips, and career networking opportunities for the youth. 

Rally Facts

  • We visit over 50 schools every year  (elementary - high school) 

  • Since 2014, Pep Rally takeover has visited over 200 schools across Chicago & Northwest Indiana 

  • Last year we donated over 1,000 winter coats & toys for the youth and families. 

  • Our work has been viewed by over 5,000,000+ people and shared by public figures such as Kelly Clarkson, Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Da Baby.

  • Our annual benefit concert has helped raise money and collect over 1,000 coats & toys for students in need during the holidays.




About Rodney Washington.
Rodney Washington otherwise known as "HotRod"  is a radio personality on Power92.3 Chicago M-F 7pm-10pm and Saturdays 6pm-10pm. He is also the official DJ for the University of Notre Dame (Football and Mens Basketball Team). Rodney graduated from Chicago State University with his bachelor degree in communication. As he continues to grow in the city of Chicago with collaborating his brand with many others like ChanceTheRapper (Social Works hosting Teen Open Mics), Hosting Nickelodeon Slime Fest 2019, and being featured on WGN TV on Chicago's Very Own segment he shines a special light on the city motivating, guiding, and helping others in the community and city.
